Mike Conger, President, first started in the construction industry when he was a youngster working in home renovations, and in his family's furniture and floor covering business. After completing school he worked in the pool and spa industry supervising construction projects. He then enhanced his construction knowledge by first becoming an estimator for builders at a large lumber company and secondly by serving as a project manager at a high end custom home building firm. Having gather hands-on field, ownership, estimating and project management experience, he then decided it was time to start a company of his own. In 2003, along with Isabel Conger, he founded Grand Contracting, Inc.                                                                                                              
Since that time, Mike was as a judge on the 2006 Awarding Committee for the Grand County Parade of Homes, assisted in the implementation of a required county licensing program for contractors and served five successive years on the Grand County Builders Association Board.

Currently, Mike is the President of the Grand County Builders Association, having recently been elected to this position by his peers.

Isabel Conger, Vice President, joined Mike in the founding of Grand Contracting, Inc. and   is head of marketing and internal operations. She began her career in the finance realm, first working in the lending field and then in the accounting field. She then became a co-owner and finance director of an excavation/snow removal company, as well as, a carpet cleaning company. After 6 years, she left those companies and then worked many years as the Head Property Manager of a 60 unit affordable housing complex in Grand County. Just prior to her partnership in founding Grand Contracting, Inc., Isabel rounded out her finance and management skills by spending time serving as a right hand person to the president of a large residential and commercial building firm.

More recently, Isabel has given to her community by serving on the Granby Town Board and two years on the Grand Elk Ranch and Club Design Review Board.

Karen Newman, Office Manager, joined the Grand Contracting team one year ago as head of marketing and internal operations.   Karen has been in the accounting/supervision field her entire career.   Beginning as Supervisor of Ticket Counter and Gates with American Airlines at Stapleton.   Most recently as the Office Manager for a large Mack Truck Dealership in Ft. Worth, TX.   Karen and her husband, Daryl are fulfilling their dream of returning home to Colorado.   With four of their six children residing on the front range, Grand County is a natural fit for them.

What a testimony of confidence in her employer as Grand Contracting, Inc. has just recently completed the build on their new home in Legacy Park Ranch.

Karen is a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker and is currently serving on the Board for Legacy Park Ranch as well as the Design Review Board for Legacy.
